Well it was nice to have Scott home with us on Friday we decided to have a special dinner. One of our favorites is Raclette. The first time we had it was in Switzerland served to us by our Swiss relatives, Anita and Urs, at their chalet in Schwartzee. We were hooked! A few months later my Dad and his wife Joann gave us a Raclette Grill for Christmas.
To start you have to find Raclette Cheese which most local grocery stores do not carry. You have to go to a special cheese shop or some gourmet food store. It is not the best smelling cheese, but believe me the taste is sure worth the $24.99 a lb they sell it for.

The little square trays are for the slices of cheese and you place them under the grill plate to melt. While waiting every gets to grill there own assortment of veggies, bacon, shrimp, etc.Oh it is so much fun! So, next the potatoes (just boiled little red or yukon gold).
Smash one or two on your plate, sprinkle some Aromat (it's like a chicken broth powder), and pepper.
